QuickSwitch is a lightweight Windows utility developed by JoyHak that streamlines file-dialog navigation by automatically supplying the path last used in any open file-manager window. Designed to eliminate repetitive clicking through folders whenever an application invokes an Open or Save As dialog, the program offers two complementary modes: Menu mode summons an on-screen list of active tabs drawn from popular file managers and lets the user pick the desired destination with a single keystroke (default Ctrl+Q), while AutoSwitch mode silently redirects the dialog to the most recently accessed tab without further interaction. Beyond live tabs, the interface can expose a curated set of locations—pinned paths that remain permanently visible, favorite paths that accept custom names and icons, and transient clipboard paths captured from any copied text—so that frequently needed project, download, or network folders are reachable instantly. Extensive personalization options allow the dark theme to be applied, menu fonts and sizes to be adjusted, long paths to be shortened or reformatted, and the hot-key combination to be remapped to mouse buttons, CapsLock, Space, Win, or other special keys, letting each user mold the utility to specific workflows in graphic suites, IDEs, or office suites. JoyHak released the current QuickSwitch 1.9 as the second public iteration, refining stability and compatibility with current Windows file-dialog APIs. The software is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources such as winget, always delivering the latest version and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
